Fabian Frohly, known as Mr. Pinkbrush, is a Swiss-French contemporary painter whose practice operates at the intersection of figurative painting, cartoon iconography, and psychological portraiture. Born with family roots tracing back to Paris, Frohly developed his artistic language through an early engagement with drawing, comics, and graffiti, before refining his approach through a Master of Fine Arts in Basel. He currently works and lives on the Côte d'Azur, a region historically tied to Cubism through Picasso's presence in Antibes, Vallauris, and Mougins, a connection that resonates deeply within his practice.

His work is defined by a self-developed movement he calls Fragmented Cubism: a contemporary approach to the figure that explores the coexistence of multiple emotional and psychological states within a single form. Unlike classical Cubism, which fragmented space and perspective, Frohly's fragmentation is internal. It is identity itself that splinters, overlaps, and holds together under pressure. Globally recognizable cartoon figures such as Pikachu, Mickey Mouse, Batman, and Pinocchio serve not as subjects but as vessels, containers of collective memory whose familiar presence invites immediate connection, while their structural fragmentation reveals something far more layered beneath the surface.

Frohly's paintings combine classical painterly depth with the visual immediacy of contemporary pop culture. Controlled, luminous oil surfaces interact with areas of deliberate openness and tension, reflecting a figure that is composed yet unstable, much like identity itself in the digital age, shaped across roles, contexts, and projections both physical and virtual.

Works by Mr. Pinkbrush are held in significant private collections internationally, including those of Carlos Slim, founder of Museo Soumaya in Mexico, and Susanne Grether, owner of one of Europe's most significant private 20th-century art collections. He has exhibited at Art Miami and Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, and has collaborated with galleries including Les Galeries Bartoux (Paris, Miami, Monaco), Markowicz Fine Art (Miami), and Corridor Contemporary (Philadelphia and Tel Aviv), as well as Museum Ground in South Korea. In 2023, Frohly began an official creative collaboration with Warner Bros. Animation Studios and DC Comics, resulting in a series of licensed releases that further cemented his position at the intersection of fine art and popular culture.
