Many of the works draw directly on Terry O'Neill's legendary 1971 photographs of Bardot — including the widely reproduced "Bardot Cowgirl" session — images that already occupy a mythic place in twentieth-century celebrity photography before Young's screenprinting process transforms them further.

Across dozens of colorways produced from the mid-2000s through the present, Young renders Bardot in registers ranging from cool St. Tropez blues and lavenders to hot cowgirl pinks and reds, each variant recasting her according to a different emotional temperature.
