Banksy’s 2010 print, Napalm, was also printed a signed edition of 150. This image has a more direct political and social rhetoric and is based on an iconic image taken during the Vietnam War. Take in 1972, the photograph depicts a 9 year-old girl running from her home after it was attacked in a Napalm blast. The artist chooses to flank the small girl with two of the most recognizable face of American popular culture, Mickey Mouse and Ronald MacDonald. Although the print refers to a specifically to the Vietnam war, recent world events bring a contemporary poignancy to the image.

While we know the location Banksy’s Choose Your Weapon first appeared-London’s Southwark District the artwork appears to be one of his more mysterious works. The dog in this piece pays tribute to Keith Haring’s iconic “Barking Dog,” appearing in an all white silhouette. The dog’s walker wears a hooded sweatshirt with a bandana disguise, possibly representing disgruntled youth which features prominently in British pop culture.
