Jeff Muhs: Dynamic Free Casted sculptures

Redefining The Sculptural Process
Jeff Muhs is known as an innovative painter and sculptor, working in a variety of genres and mediums. Continually inspired by his discovery of truth in pure artistic form, his 'Dynamic Free Casting' concrete sculptures, redefine the sculptural process, and add his singular vision to the discipline.

This body of work is concerned with a process that Muhs himself has coined. Within this process he has advanced new methods for forming concrete, which embraces an extraordinary amount of chance given the inherent fluidity and weight of the medium. His compulsion is to orchestrate as completely as possible and command over the powerful forces inherent to the medium, thereby pushing the limits of the materials and his ability to control them to the absolute maximum.

The sculptures are a physical record of these efforts and lay the materials and process bare before the viewer while presenting the artist with new forms to explore. These results are the fertile ground of creation where he ploughs the realms of the infinite and leaves new realities in his wake.

Jeff Muhs' 'Dynamic Free Casting' series will be featured in "Daydream" opening march 21th in New York City. The exhibition is curated by The Pink Lemonade. To rsvp and receive further details please register here.
