Sage Barnes, Look Alive: A Solo Exhibition
With a deep running theme of self-awareness, the artworks in this exhibition highlight the cause and effect of our actions.

Guy Hepner and The TAX Collection are pleased to present, 'Look Alive', a solo exhibition by American artist Sage Barnes. Opening March 21st at Guy Hepner, Barnes returns to New York City for his second solo exhibition with the gallery. 'Look Alive' challenges the viewer to examine their personal character. With a deep running theme of self-awareness, the artworks in this exhibition highlight the cause and effect of our actions - the consequences we face and our ability to overcome. The opening reception for the exhibition will be held next Thursday, March 21st from 7-10PM at the gallery in Chelsea, with the artist present.

A self-taught artist, Sage Barnes has only learned to create from his own ideas, which is exactly what sets him apart. He started his artistic journey as a young child drawing and illustrating, now flourishing into a versatile artist who has developed a passion for painting. He has found a unique combination of abstract, realistic, and street art techniques, which are often kept separate.

Guy Hepner and The TAX Collection collaborated with the artist for the first time in 2017 with Barnes‘s debut New York City exhibition, ‘Identity’, which realized career high prices for his work, introducing his talent to the contemporary New York market. His latest exhibition will be accompanied by a physical print release and signing at the gallery, Saturday March 23rd from 12-2PM - featuring three never before seen, exclusive limited edition prints.

Founded in 2015, The TAX Collection is a multi-modal creative platform acting as a catalyst for emerging and established artists. Together, Guy Hepner and The TAX Collection have teamed together to create ten unique exhibitions over the course of the last three years.

On March 21st there will be a general opening reception from 7pm - 9pm at the gallery. Please contact the gallery for any additional information or media inquiries.
