    Dylan Martinez, Goldfish Cracker
Discover the fusion of art and whimsy as delicate glass water bags cradle intricately sculpted goldfish crackers, gracefully afloat.

On Thursday, November 18th, Guy Hepner Editions is excited to present Dylan Martinez’s GoldFish Cracker Series. The exclusive release features 18 unique hand-blown glass sculptures that will drop on the Guy Hepner Shop on Thursday from 2pm EST.

Discover the fusion of art and whimsy as delicate glass water bags cradle intricately sculpted goldfish crackers, gracefully afloat. Each handcrafted piece is a testament to the artist's skill, capturing the beauty of fluid forms and evoke the nostalgic charm of childhood.

Dylan’s artwork explores the boundaries of human perception through the manipulation of light, space, and the physical properties of glass. Martinez’s latest body of work explores techniques in which the viewer is presented with objects which trick the eye, Trompe L’oeil, or use the reflective and refractive properties of glass in configurations that fracture light in dynamic styles, allowing the viewer a moment of playful exploration.
Created entirely out of molten glass that begins at 2200 degrees F. A small gather of glass is spun up onto the end of an iron rod to form its shape. During its construction there are no breaks or pauses, as the glass needs to be continually rotated, to keep it from falling onto the ground, and reheated every 30-60 seconds, to keep it from getting so cold it wouldn’t crack from thermal stress.
