    Born 1977 in Vienna, Anatol Knotek is an Austrian artist.

    Visual and concrete poetry, installation and conceptual art are in the center of his artistic work, which has been exhibited internationally. his concrete and visual poems have been published in journals, chapbooks, schoolbooks and anthologies.

    He explains how he tries to explore themes of finitude and fragility, focusing particularly on the contradictions in our human response to them. And he always works address these themes with a touch of humor.
    He is continually drawn to the simultaneity of meanings, various perspectives, and possibilities for interpretation. by subtly manipulating, separating, or contextualizing words, trying to invite viewers to engage with these multiple layers of meaning.
