Overview
“Art is for everybody.”
For over four decades, Keith Haring’s art has inspired both collectors and artists with its energetic, primordial nature. Widely regarded as one of the most important and influential figures in the urban graffiti movement, Haring’s pop art style effortlessly bridges the gap between street art, urban art and fine art. Keith Haring’s vast studio output including limited-edition original prints and paintings as well as his large, public murals reflect the breadth of his brief but expansive career.
Throughout both his formal art education and professional career, Haring remained deeply committed to communicating ideas with his audience—whether it was commuters in New York City’s subway stations, passersby on the street, or visitors in galleries.
By developing a unique visual language—almost hieroglyphic in style—Haring conveyed deeply personal and often complex subjects in ways that were easily understood by the public. In bypassing the traditional gallery system, he challenged conventional norms around how and where art should be experienced—an act, like his artwork, rich with meaning.
Haring used his art as a platform to address social and political issues, including AIDS awareness, racism, nuclear disarmament, and LGBTQ+ rights. His work was often accessible and democratic, speaking to a broad audience and challenging traditional art world boundaries. Though his career was tragically short-lived, his impact has endured, transcending pop culture to become part of the conversation even today many decades after his tragic death in 1990.
Since 2005, Guy Hepner have assisted collectors across the world to acquire Keith Haring original art. From limited edition screenprints and lithographs to rare works on paper and important original paintings we offer a comprehensive selection of Keith Haring artworks.
