By demonstrating the omnipresent lingering of a Œcorporate world, GilleanClark creates work using both creative and literal tactics, but neither of them permissive. The oblique desire to be an artist derives from somewhere indescribable, yet is continuously astounding. The saturated market does
not dispel this talented individual to dilute nor reform. He sees art more as a primal form of communication and as all communication stands, it exists for nothing less than the desire to be understood. The conscientious objective of his work is to create and share impact and that
all walks of life regardless of race, religion or politics experience beauty and turmoil at its best.
Formally trained in Fine Art as well and born to international artists; his work demonstrates how life extends beyond its own subjective limits and often tells a story about the effects of growing up all over the world and the lack of connection to any one culture or restraint of ideas. A
self admitted series painter, the varieties of his work have been featured in The New York Times, on multiple walls of city streets around the globe, Vogue and a variety of design publications. Although diverse, the main pulse of his work remains ever changing. It challenges the binaries we
continually reconstruct between Self and Other, between our own Œcanniba and Œcivilized selves. Constantly yearning for new methods, new ways to depict how we interact with the world, art became his only avenue fit toexpress burgeoning thoughts and lessons learned.
